Issy Média is in charge of the communication and the development of new technologies in the city of Issy‐les‐ Moulineaux. It is a Local Public Company, also known as ” SEM (Société d’économie mixte)”, whose capital is however held in majority by the city. Its aim is to create a collaborative environment bringing together the public, the private and the research sector in order to build a local Information Society which is innovative and open to all. Issy Média is therefore, following the developments of new technologies benefiting the population, and experimenting new applications on its territory. Issy Média accompanies the day-to-day municipal services and manages the entire external communication of the city: Print and Web publications, press relations, management of special events and billposting.
The City of Issy-les-Moulineaux, counting on 72.000 jobs, is part of the Grand Paris Seine Ouest Urban Agglomeration that represents around 180.000 jobs and stands out as the biggest ICT Pole of Paris Area and, generally, in the whole country. Actually, about 40% of the jobs of the City are in the ICT Sector that includes major international companies such as Microsoft, Cisco, Huawei and Bull. Next to international groups, Issy is highly focused on hosting SMEs and start-ups that play an important role at local level as some of those represent Excellence at French, European and International level.
Main role in the project:
Issy Media is one of the smart cities of the consortium, where the RADICAL pilot services will be deployed, validated and evaluated. IM will therefore have an active participation in pilot and evaluation activities, as well as in requirements and specifications activities. IM has already deployed smart city services and it will therefore engage in transferring experiences to other cities, while also investigating the replicability of services. On the basis of its experience from RADICAL and other smart city related projects, IM will participate in the elicitation and documentation of best practices and policy development guidelines for optimal smart city deployments. Finally, IM will have a leading role in the dissemination activities of the project, leading the dissemination and communication task.
